Child Safe Environments

Our commitment to maintaining a child safe environment at UniSA

Protecting the safety and wellbeing of children is the shared responsibility of the whole community and the University is committed to being a key part of creating an environment that is child safe.

The University has recently reviewed its Children’s Protection Policy to ensure that we maintain a child safe environment and that we comply with the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017.

All UniSA staff and students are required to familiarise themselves with the terms of the Children’s Protection Policy, regardless of whether they regularly work with children.

This commitment is part of our University’s culture.  Our staff and students should be mindful of their responsibility to provide a safe environment where everybody has the right to be treated with respect, work safely and be protected from harm. At all times our staff and students should maintain the highest professional and ethical standards, and to act in accordance with the University’s Code of Ethical Conduct.
