Celebrate our first ever Respect Month this April
UniSA’s newest annual event is on for the whole month. To mark international Sexual Assault Awareness Month, this year we’re focusing on sexual assault and sexual harassment.

What does it mean to be a good friend or partner? What relationship green flags should you be on the lookout for? What does respect mean in different communities? And if things go wrong, where can you get support?

It’s a month chock-full of useful info, resources, events, and fun stuff too. There’ll be craft sessions, helpful webinars, freebies, food, a student art competition and exhibition, and much more.

Three tips from our counsellors for staying on top of your studies
Settling into your studies while managing other ongoing commitments can be stressful, so we asked our friendly, knowledgeable UniSA counsellors for some tips on managing your time.

Set aside study time blocks additional to your class contact hours:
Use a printed or digital timetable, and a study planner to help you plan your days, weeks, and months.

Pinpoint deadlines and get started on assessments early:
Follow your course outlines to help you prepare in advance for the semester. Take notes and highlight relevant course information as you go, rather than just before your exams.

Set realistic expectations about what you can achieve:
Try not to overload yourself and make buffer time for planning and preparing your assessments. Setting up routines around study and other commitments may help you manage your workload.

If you are feeling overwhelmed with personal issues impacting on your wellbeing and study, you can book an appointment with a counsellor, and we encourage you to attend our upcoming workshops.
