Everyone can use a little extra help getting started with their studies and working on their assignments. The Veterans’ Transition Workshops are specifically designed to assist veterans, emergency responders and their immediate family members to transition successfully into university.
This workshop is facilitated by a current student veteran and is designed to help VEEP students navigate the cultural shift to the academic world by introducing a wide range of support services and academic resources. It is a great way to understand and be prepared for the demands of university study, and provides a great opportunity to connect with the online/on-campus learning environments and fosters a sense of belonging through peer networks.
The VEEP Transition Workshops are available to new and continuing students who are current or ex-serving Australian Defence Force members, including reservists, emergency services first responders, and their immediate families.
This program is designed to help newly enrolled (commencing) students to transition smoothly into life as a student at UniSA. Work through a series of modules, brief videos and useful links that will help you navigate the UniSA environment – both online and on campus.
In the week before classes begin for each study period, UniSA holds Orientation activities to help you connect with the people on your campus and to get the information you need to get ready.
Campus Fair connects you with the full range of UniSA support services including wellbeing, careers, study support, leadership programs, UniSA Student Association (USASA), student clubs and UniSA Sport.
There are many ways to get learning and study support. You will find a range of online resources, workshops and learning support services, all aimed at helping you through your courses and assessments.
